It’s hard, tense and fairly fun. I’m quite proud that I managed to make it in just 4 days. Hope you enjoy it, and let me know if you find any nasty bugs.
As of today I am attempting to make a roguelike in 4 days. I am not alone in this challenge, as there are others on r.g.r.d. mad enough to give it a go too. My entry will be called ‘UNSTOPPABLE’.
Making Trapper in 7 days was very tight, but I have a lot planned on paper this time round and I’m going to keep the scope very limited. Having said that I’ve still set myself a few challenges. UNSTOPPABLE will be a roguelike about a robot with impenetrable armour, who fires an unstoppable weapon. No enemies can harm it, but with looping map edges your weapon suddenly becomes much more dangerous.
Looping map edges will be especially tricky, but I have some thoughts on how to handle it well. I also have a few other interesting ideas I’d like to explore, but we’ll see how much time I’ll have.
